PHOTOGRAPHY PORTFOLIO
Creating this portfolio during my first semester was one of the most exciting and enriching experiences I’ve had as a photographer. It was a time of pure experimentation and exploration, where I dove headfirst into using different cameras and techniques. I primarily worked with three cameras:
The Canon 5D Mark II, - Which gave me a solid introduction to digital photography;
A PaperShot camera - That added a fun, lo-fi element to my work;
A film camera, - Which, despite the pictures being unusable, offered a unique learning experience. Even though the film shots didn’t turn out, I loved the process of trying something new, and it inspired me to consider revisiting film photography in the future with a more research-driven approach.
This portfolio reflects not just the photos I captured but everything I learned along the way, from technical skills to the art of storytelling through images. It documents the growth I experienced that semester, and I look back on it with a sense of pride and excitement for what’s to come. The entire journey was fun and filled with moments of trial and error, but every mistake taught me something new.
